Stupid Deal of the Day App Reviews

Love SDOTD. HATE this app. Refreshes for half an hour until it ends up crashing. And eats up data like crazy. Will not load on my 5S no matter how many times I redownload it. Will stick to MFs email notifications.

I bought one of the featured products and it was so crappy, no wonder they wanted to get rid of it. If its too good to be true, it usually is. No such thing as a free lunch.

I enjoy using the app, but sometimes the deals refuse to load properly. Also, Im always hitting the "Add to Cart" button when I try to scroll through the description, which immediately takes me the website. Very annoying. Maybe make this harder to do for us fumble-fingered folk. Addition on 9/19: Since I upgraded to iOS 8 the notifications from this app have stopped working. Will try reinstalling.

I have given up on this app. It is better to go to their mobile website and create a shortcut to your desktop for the SDOTD page. Just takes way too long to load. Sometimes it comes up right away, but more often than not, it takes too long.

It just wont load!!! You are losing money from me. I watched it everyday until lately. Fix it!

Most apps of this nature are to bypass the several steps of web access and sneak in faster. Not this Stupid Deal! I can start Safari speak or type the URL, tap the Stupid Deal icon and get there faster than the Stupid app. Does Musicians Friend read these reviews? They should be shamed into fixing the throughput of this app. I dislike the app but love Muscians Friend :)

95% of the time, the app will not load. Just sits there spinning around not doing anything! Have made a Safari shortcut to MF SDOTD instead. Someone needs to read these reviews and fix this app to make it useful! Push notification is nice, but would be really nice if I could tap on the notification and actually get the SDOTD to load! Frustrating!

Its quicker to view the mobile website. At least the website actually works.

Clocks and never loads.

The app is not very good and is very slow to load, but that would be okay if the deals themselves were worth anything. However, the "deals" are just crappy things no one is willing to buy day after day.

Saw a drumset for 549 as a deal of the day, went online to check reviews and their website had it listed for 499. How can it be a deal if it is not your cheapest price ? I have had no problem meeting or beating the deal of the day on other websites

In all honesty, the app is okay. Its not bad, but its not good. I get what the idea of the app is about, but... I personally think Musicians Friend should get rid of this app and make a brand new app that features everything they sell. I love Musicians Friend. I buy everything I want and or need from their website. Id love to see and use an app that works just like their website that way I can shop from my phone on the app instead of going on my phones browser. Do that, and life will be good

I think this app is great! All of these other reviews are making it seem terrible but it is what it is! Its an app that shows you the Stupid Deal Of The Day!!! Theres no reason to dislike it! The items that are on here are great and I look at the app many times thought the day to see if there is anything else that is up for sale! Two thumbs up to Musicians Friend!

This app is a joke doesnt add anything to the cart what is it supposed to do????? would not take me even to their website!!!

What a useless app slow, buggy, and just a total piece of.......

1st off ... This app doesnt work right on OS9 , even after reinstalling it .. Fix it already !! 2nd every time you scroll to The description it will be automatically added to your cart... Not cool !

Since the last update, its been adding things to my cart rather unexpectedly when I try to scroll or do anything else…super annoying. (I am 99% it is a bug and not my subconscious trying to buy gear.) Other than that, though, it is nice to have around. This app is part of my morning routine. Open it up, maybe drool a little, close it down. I like not having to get there through the browser.

I just re-installed the app after not having it for a while. It doesn’t show up in the Notifications settings list despite instructions to use the “Notifications Center” found within the app. The whole point for installing it was to receive notifications, so it’s pretty useless to me. I’m running iOS 9.1 (up to date). Stupid, indeed! ;-)
